March 29, 2001 - Devrace Software Company publishes a new
build of Devrace FIBPlus, a fast, flexible and high-performance
component library for Borland® Delphi™ and Borland® C++ Builder,
which is intended for work with all Borland® Interbase® and Firebird
versions. The new FIBPlus version delivers new features and capabilities
for creating high-speed and high-quality applications directed to
Borland® Interbase® and Firebird.
New FIBPlus 4.6 supports Borland C++ Builder 6.0 and includes special
features for improving InterBase application performance. This version
allows developers to trace performance of all application queries
to a database with the help of the new component TpFIBStatistics.
Also a capability of saving and loading local meta-data cache is
added in FIBPlus 4.6. So if the database structure is stable the
use of the local cache helps to avoid redundant system queries to
the database. This helps to increase application productivity.
This version has been successfully checked and tested by an independed FIBPlus Test Team, which includes about twenty applied and system developers. Now every new FIBPlus build goes through a prior beta-testing phase before public release.
