Devrace Announces a New Version of FIBPlus™ - a Fast, Flexible and Convenient Library of Native Borland Delphi and Borland C++ Builder Components Intended for Work with all Borland Interbase Versions and Firebird

March 5, 2001 - Devrace Software Company announces publication of Devrace™ FIBPlus™ 4.2, a fast, flexible and high-performance component library for Borland® Delphi™ and Borland® C++ Builder. The new FIBPlus version determines a direction of futher development approach for easy and effective creation of client-side Interbase applications.

FIBPlus 4.2 is included into SohoIBLib Pro components. Consistent with Devrace's commitment to providing technology that works across major Borland® Delphi and Borland® C++ Builder versions, FIBPlus 4.2 also provides support of Delphi 3-5 and C++ Builder 3-4. FIBPlus features have easy and powerful architecture of classes, which requires minimal manual coding for creation of fully functional applications.

Devrace FIBPlus 4.2 new features:

  • Design-time improvements - Design-time options for customizing TpFIBDataSet behaviour is added to TpFIBDataBase. Now it is possible to set default options for all TpFIBDataSet copies, which use one TpFIBDataBase.
  • User's defined isolation levels - New design-time editor for TpFIBTransaction, which allows creating, editing and storing user's defined isolation levels for transactions.
  • New boolean fields support - Special options for enabling/disabling boolean fielsd support by TpFIBDataSet
