01.12.2005 - Devrace announces a new release of FIBPlus component library. In version 6.30 Devrace developers concentrated on better library stability, bug fixes and better compatibility with C++ Builder, Kylix, Firebird 2 and InterBase 7.5. This new version of FIBPlus, the best tool in Database Connectivity category according to the voting results of Delphi Informant Magazine’s 2004 Reader Choice Awards, includes more than 15 enhancements and 20 bug fixes.

Main features and benefits of FIBPlus 6.3

  • Support of new Firebird 2 features. In particular, TpFIBDataset realises support of INSERT ... RETURNING syntax, which enables developers to get new field values handled by triggers automatically.
  • New query logging strategy. The library includes a new component TpFIBSQLLogger for the query statistics analysis and automatic log saving of SQL statements executed by the application.
  • Better SynEdit support in design-time. The install packages have additional defines for better integration of the extended SQL editor (based on SynEdit).
