Ravenholm Computing was established in 1985 and originally specializing in PC software for programmers. Since then they have expanded both in terms of product range and geographic coverage. The product range has expanded to include almost all kinds of PC software, plus software licenses and books related to the use of PC·s. In 1998 Ravenholm Academy was started to give their customers an easy start with software products. A broad range of full training courses are offered through the year. They started subsidiaries in Norway in 1988 and in Finland in 1992, and the American purchasing office was started in 1990. In 1996 PolySoft was acquired and merged into Ravenholm Computing A/S in Norway and in 1997 Tietovayla and TVC were acquired in Finland and merged into Ravenholm Computing OY. In 1998 Ravenholm Computing AG was established in Switzerland and AkademiData AB was acquired in the fall 1998 to start Ravenholm Computing AB in Sweden.
