FIBPlus 6.2 is available for customers
We are happy to inform our customers that FIBPlus 6.2 (Delphi) is available in Devrace Customer's Center. The new version better supports Unicode and is compatible with Firebird 2 and Delphi 2005. Versions for C++ Builder and Kylix, as well as the trial of FIBPlus 6.2 will be published soon in a download section. Please, read FIBPlus 6.2 Release Notes.

Database Comparer VCL Version 1.0 compatible with FIBPlus
Clevercomponents announce Database Comparer components to compare, synchronize and update databases structure compatible with FIBPlus. Database Comparer implements highly intelligent and robust synchronization algorithm. During first comparison step it takes Target database or Target SQL/DDL script and compare it to the Master database or Master SQL/DDL script trying to locate all structure differences and prepare final SQL script which will be applied to the Target and make its structure equal to Master structure. At this stage Database Comparer extracts all objects, descriptions and links from both Master and Target structures and then compares actual objects from Master with objects from Target building final update SQL script. After final update SQL script is ready you can apply it to the Target database if it is available or just save it to the file and run it later. Get more details...

The components let you easily use all the features of both databases in your applications. The option to use separate transactions for reading and updating data is particularly valuable with InterBase 7.1, because it lets you keep datasets open for any length of time without worrying about performance degradation caused by long-running transactions. FIBPlus makes using array fields easy by treating them as variant arrays. Macros make modifying SQL statements in code easy. And the ability to sort a result set in memory without having to re-execute the query lets you provide flexible views of data with minimum network traffic and server load.
